Bianchi in the spotlights at Tour and Wallonie

Boeckmans fifth in the last stage in France, Ligthart and Feillu on the podium in Belgium
Belgian Kris Boeckmans took fifth in Paris, supported by 50 Bianchi international dealers waiting for the final sprint on the Champs Elisées. Ligthart placed second in the opening stage of Tour de Wallonie, Feillu was runner up in the following one

Bianchi-supplied team Vacansoleil-DCM achieved two podiums and a Top-5 position between Belgium and France on Saturday, July 21st and Sunday, July 22nd.

Supported by 50 Bianchi international dealers and “Celeste” staff, waiting for the final sprint on the Champs Elisées, Belgian Kris Boeckmans placed fifth at Tour de France 20th and last stage in Paris, on Sunday, July 22nd.

It was the second Top-5 placing for Vacansoleil-DCM and Bianchi at “Grand Boucle”: Kenny Robert Van Hummel on Oltre had clinched fourth in the stage sixth, on July 6th.

Former Dutch champion Pim Ligthart went close to victory in the Tour of Wallonie's stage-1, taking second in the bunch sprint behind French Nacer Bounanni in Lessines (Belgium) on July 21st. The day after, French Romain Feillu sprinted for victories with Italians Napolitano and Appollonio, achieving the third position in the stage-2, 205.5 km from Binche to Mettet (Belgium).

After two stages Ligthart is sixth and Feillu tenth in the GC.
