Vacansoleil-DCM’s
Gustav Erik Larsson on
Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon kept the Swedish Time Trial title for the third year in a row, thanks to the victory on Tuesday,
June 26th. The 31 year old-rider from Gemla clocked 1:00:50, one minute and 9 seconds better than Tobias Ludvigsson
and 1:56 better than Alexander Wetterhall.
Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon is a monocoque carbon frame (
D|2 family) projected to fight against the clock in professional time-trial races. Larsson was one of the four Vacansoleil-DCM riders (together with
Thomas de Gendt,
Lieuwe Westra and
Wout Poels) involved last January in wind-tunnel testing in
Magny Cours - France, to optimize their aero position on Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon bike, and gave Bianchi important inputs to enforce both Crono and Road models (including
Oltre).
Westra himself took the Dutch champion’s jersey on Pico Crono Carbon bike in
Emmen (Netherlands), on June 21st.
