Vacansoleil-DCM’s Lieuwe Westra on Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon is the new Dutch Time Trial Champion, thanks to the victory in Emmen (Netherlands) on Wednesday, June 20th. The 29 year old-rider from Molenend clocked 55:27, 8 seconds better than Lars Boom and 21 better than Niki Terpstra. Martijn Keizer entered the Top 10 as well, placing eighth, one minute and 59 seconds behind his team-mate.

Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon is a monocoque carbon frame (D|2 family) projected to fight against the clock in professional time-trial races. Westra and his team-mates Thomas de Gendt, Erik Gustav Larsson and Wout Poels have been involved last January in wind-tunnel testing in Magny Cours - France, to optimize their aero position on Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon bike, and gave Bianchi important inputs to enforce both Crono and Road models (including Oltre).

Larsson himself led to victory Pico Crono Carbon bike at Paris-Nice, last March 4th.
