Johan Esteban Chaves claimed victory at Vuelta a Burgos’ last stage, 180 km from
Comarca Pinars to
Lagunas de Neila (Spain) on Sunday,
August 5th. Colombian 22-year-old rider on Bianchi Sempre outsprinted his countryman Sergio Luis Henao. Igor Anton placed third.
Thanks to the success in the final stage, Chaves took third in the GC.
Androni Giocattoli’s
Franco Pellizotti was fifth in Lagunas de Neila. Italian champion on Bianchi Oltre got to the finish line 26 seconds behind Chaves. Pellizotti took fourth in the GC.
Five Bianchi bikes entered Top-20 thanks to Androni's
Riccardo Chiarini (15th) and Colombia Coldeportes’
Jarlinson Pantano (16th) and
Darwin Atapuma (18th) as well.
