Bianchi is 2008 technical partner of the Barloworld Team, an international group with an Italian heart. Team manager Claudio Corti is supported by the other directors Alberto Volpi, Valerio Tebaldi and Flavio Miozzo who rule a group of twenty riders of ten different nationalities, with seven Italians. That’s a young group aiming to be one of the key-teams in the main appointments of the professional cycling season.

Bianchi’s relationship with the riders of Barloworld gives a great opportunity to increase technical research. Bianchi Group Product Manager, Lars Svalin explains: «Bianchi is a global performance brand and finds in Barloworld Team an international competitive team. We will work closely with the team to provide product input for models like our 928 Carbon SL and the very new 928 Carbon T-Cube». Former world champion Felice Gimondi remarks: «This is a fantastic opportunity for Bianchi that joins to a young team, one of the most successful during the 2007 season.»
The Barloworld Team will be equipped with three models of Bianchi bicycles: the 928 Carbon T-Cube, the 928 Carbon SL and, for the time-trials, the D2 Crono Carbon. In every single bicycle provided to the team small features are carefully manufactured to satisfy the riders’ needs.
The use of the state of mind materials allows Bianchi to offer the riders bicycles of extraordinary lightness, only 850gr for the SL and 1,06kg for the T-Cube for the 55 size. The technology Tube to Tube enables Bianchi to manufacture custom-made frames.
The sensation is strong and clear: at the first year of agreement, Bianchi and Barloworld Team won’t save passion, determination and experience to leave a permanent sign on the international cycling world.
