Duarte on the podium at Vuelta a Colombia

Colombia Coldeportes' rider placed third in the "queen stage" on June 16th
Colombia Coldeportes' Fabio Duarte Arevalo took third on Bianchi Sempre at Vuelta a Colombia's queen stage, 130.2 km from Ibague to Armenia, behind race leader Felix Cardenas and Juan Diego Ramirez. Darwin Atapuma placed sixth

Colombia Coldeportes' Fabio Duarte on Bianchi Sempre placed third at Vuelta a Colombia' stage-4, 130.2 km from Ibague to Armenia. After a demanding stage including the Alto de la Linea ascent, Duarte got to the arrival behind race leader Felix Cardenas and Juan Diego Ramirez. His team-mate Darwin Atapuma was sixth, with a 7 second gap from Cardenas.

In the general classification, Duarte climbed back to second overall, with a 22 second gap to Cardenas.

At Vuelta a Colombia 2012 Claudio Corti's team had already won the opening ITT with Duarte himself and taken fifth with Jeffry Romero in the stage-2 (in Villavicencio) and third with Esteban Chaves in the stage-3 (in Ibague).
