Juan Pablo Forero on
Bianchi Sempre took his first seasonal win at Vuelta a Colombia's stage-5, 191,6 km from
Armenia to
Cali, on Sunday,
June 17th. Colombia Coldeportes' rider sprinted for victory ahead of Jairo Salas. After leading out Forero, his team-mate
Jeffry Romero placed third.
It was the second victory for team Colombia Coldeportes and Bianchi at South-American stage-race, after
Fabio Duarte's one on
Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon in the opening ITT. Duarte himself keeps the second position in the GC.
At 2012 Vuelta a Colombia, the team directed by Valerio Tebaldi and Oliverio Rincon also achieved a fifth position with Jeffry Romero in the stage-2 (in
Villavicencio) and two third with
Esteban Chaves
in the stage-3 (in
Ibague) and Duarte the day after (in Armenia).
