TX Active-Bianchi's Tony Longo on Bianchi Methanol SL2 took second at Valleogra MTB Race - Marathon Italian Championships in Schio (Veneto, North-East Italy) on Sunday, June 24th. Preceded only by Juri Ragnoli, Longo crossed the finish line with a two minutes-advantage on Pettinà and Ronchi, sprinting for the third position.

At Italian championship the main goal is to wear the champion’s jersey, but I’m really satisfied because of this result: I run few Marathon races in 2012. In the early race I lost time because of a problem, then I was able to outdistance the other chasers on the longest uphill and I went to the finish line alone to take the second position” Longo commented after the race.

His team-mate Stephane Tempier placed 33th at World Cup XCO round-5 in Mont Sainte-Anne (Canada), on Saturday, June 23rd. Tempier is now 11th in the GC.

It was a good Sunday also for TX Active-Bianchi’s Junior team: cadets Giorgio Rossi and Chiara Teocchi and rookie Katia Moro clinched victory at 2° Trofeo Città di Verona. Junior Cristian Boffelli and Federico Barri on Bianchi Methanol SX placed 2nd and 3rd respectively at 8th Franciacorta Bike in Erbusco (Brescia, Northern Italy).
