Lagutin on Bianchi Oltre took fifth at Olympics

Vacansoleil-DCM's Ukbek sprinted for bronze in London on July 28th
Uzbek Sergey Lagutin went close to podium at Olympic Men's Road Race in London, on July 28th. Vacansoleil-DCM's Dutch Lieuwe Westra went up in the initial breakaway of the day. Bianchi will come back to race in the ITT on Wednesday, August 1st

Vacansoleil-DCM's Sergey Lagutin on Bianchi Oltre placed fifth at Olympic Men's Road Race in London, on Saturday, July 28th. Uzbek rider sprinted for bronze medal, behind the leading duo Vinokourov-Uran, but couldn’t edge past Norway's Alexander Kristoff and US' Taylor Phinney,

Lieuwe Westra's Oltre was in the spotlights on the British roads as well, as Dutch rider went up in the initial breakaway of the day. Also Venezuelan Tomas Gil, Jackson Rodriguez and Miguel Ubeto on Oltre and Colombian Fabio Duarte on Sempre were in the action at 2012 Games' first cycling event.

Bianchi will come back to race at 2012 Olympics on Wednesday, August 1st, when Vacansoleil-DCM's Lieuwe Westra and Gustav Larsson (Dutch and Swedish champion respectively), Colombia Coldeportes' Fabio Duarte and Androni Giocattoli's Tomas Gil will enter the ITT race on Bianchi Pico Crono Carbon.

TX Active-Bianchi's riders will play their cards in the MTB race on Hadleigh Farm's course on August 12th. Elite Stephane Tempier (France) and Leonardo Paez (Colombia) and U23 Gerhard Kerschbaumer (Italy) will ride on Bianchi Methanol SL2 (26") and Methanol 29 SL (29") bikes.
