After the bright Saturday at World Cup last round, team
TX Active-Bianchi
took a further victory on Sunday,
July 29th.
Tony Longo on
Bianchi Methanol SL2 won the Granfondo Alta Valtellina, P2P race in Bormio (Lombardy region), outsprinting countryman Daniele Mensi, after
having leaded the race on the 69 km Marathon course.
“
I knew I’m in a good shape and the course is fit for my skills. I outdistanced Mensi on a short climb, but he was able to recover. I managed to save more energy for the final dash, and got the edge in the sprint” Longo commented.
Federico Barri on
Methanol SX placed second Overall and best junior on the 39 km Classic track. His team-mate and coetaneous
Cristian Boffelli clinched success as well in
Pontida (Lombardy).
Rookie
Katia Moro and cadet
Chiara Teocchi topped their respective series, whilst cadet
Oscar Vairetti was runner up at Youth Italian Cup XCO in
Pila (Northern Italy)
