It's XCO World Cup’s dawn for Team Bianchi Countervail's Elite-Under 23 Team. Nadir Colledani, Marco Aurelio Fontana, Chiara Teocchi and Stephane Tempier are ready to tackle the World Cup's opener in Stellenbosch (South Africa) on Saturday, March 10th. Teocchi will start the “dance” in the Women's Under 23 race at 8.30 am SAST (GMT+2), whilst Fontana, Tempier and Colledani will compete in the Men's Elite race at 2.50 pm SAST (GMT+2).
Twice runner-up in 2017 World Cup in Mont-Sainte-Anne and Val di Sole, second placed in GC as well, Stephane Tempier is one of the most expected riders on the starting grid. This year, his goal is to further improve his previous brilliant results, and claim his maiden World Cup win. "Last week in Spain I wasn't at my best, but it's in the past: now I feel better and I'm ready to live this new World Cup experience. The course is cool, techcnical and dusty. I'll take in the race with Methanol 29.1 FS" the Frenchman explained. Also Nadir Colledani will choose Methanol 29.1 FS for his debut in World Cup XCO Men Elite series, after an exciting goodbye season among Men's Under 23 (twice round-winner and runner-up in the GC).
Chiara Teocchi and Marco Aurelio Fontana will ride on Methanol CV, the first ever mountain bike frame enhanced with Bianchi’s innovative and exclusive Countervail® vibration-cancelling technology. "We had positive feedbacks from the trainings on a powdery, technical and physically exhausting course. We are all motivated and ready to deliver solid performances" Fontana comments at the race eve.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
