Bianchi and Mtb: Victories and innovation since 1991
On strong drivers, Bianchi built its 27-year-long adventure in the mountain-bike world. Today, Bianchi’s official MTB Team is one of the most successful squads in the sport, as well as a breeding ground for young bikers.
Great achievements in the most important national and international races, technological innovation, research and green strategy, these are the factors that drive Team Bianchi Countervail forward. Bianchi MTB team was founded in 1991 to develop and improve Bianchi’s off-road frames and products. Since then, Bianchi claimed impressive results in major international MTB competitions, while improving its products by leveraging the use of new technologies, geometries and materials. Today, Bianchi holds a steady position in the MTB sector and keeps on investing in technology with a dedicated Product Department, paying close attention to new materials, advanced components and intense testing activity. Bianchi’s attention to the world of professional MTB perfectly matches the most exigent customers’ needs.

Well-known athletes with the likes of former World Champion Dario Acquaroli (who started racing on a Bianchi bike), Olympic and World Champion Julien Abasalon, Josè Hermida (former Under23 World Champion), Italian Bruno Zanchi (Multiple-time downhill champion) and Marathon specialists Leonardo Paez and Thomas Dietsch brought Bianchi to the top of international rankings. Another important member of the Bianchi family is Gerhard Kerschbaumer. In his six year with the Celeste jersey he won many races with a Under23 XCO World Cup and a World Champinship. Marco Aurelio Fontana, Stephane Tempier and Chiara Teocchi are now taking over this Heritage. The young girl from Bergamo is he reigning U23 European and Italian CX champion and U23 Italian XCO champion.
