Bianchi + Team Road + Product
The new Team Jumbo-Visma (formerly Team LottoNL-Jumbo) was presented at Jumbo's headquarters in Veghel (Netherlands) on Friday, December 21st. With thirty-tree wins in 2018, including stages at the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France, Bianchi-sponsored WorldTour team aims high in 2019. Slovenian Primoz Roglic will be the captain for the next Giro d'Italia, whilst Steven Kruijswijk will lead Team Jumbo-Visma at the Tour de France.
The team has brought in a group of new riders, including some of the most interesting names in the peloton: four-time TT World Champion Tony Martin and current cyclo-cross World Champion Wout Van Aert.
“I think that the Tour de France’s course suits me well this year. I’m now looking to take the last step, to get on the podium of a Grand Tour. That’s what I want to go for next year. For me, the podium is the ultimate goal” (Steven Kruijswijk)
“I would like to develop myself further. I am someone who is always looking for a new challenge. Last year, I rode well in the classics. The hunger for more has become very big” (Wout Van Aert)
