Primoz Roglic placed third in 52nd Tirreno-Adriatico's stage 5, 209 km from Rieti to the uphill finish in Fermo, on Sunday, March 12th. Equipped with Oltre XR4, the Slovenian was among the most brilliant riders in the demanding late race, in a nine-man group outsprinted by the World champion Peter Sagan ahead of French Thibaut Pinot. Thanks to the strong performance in Fermo, Roglic went up to fourth in the GC, only nine second behind the third-placed Rohan Dennis. The 27-year-old Slovenian aims for the top in the final ITT next Tuesday in San Benedetto del Tronto.
