Tempier fifth in Coupe de France's opener

Second for long, Team Bianchi Countervail's rider finished 1:35 behind the winner Marotte and 26 seconds away from the podium

Stephane Tempier (Team Bianchi Countervail) finished fifth in Coupe de France VTT's opening round in Marseille on Sunday, March 26th. Runner-up until the penultimate lap, the 31-year-old rider from Gap slowed his pace only in the late race, still managing to close in the Top 5 with his Methanol CV. Maxime Marotte claimed the victory.
 
TEMPIER: "GOOD SENSATIONS: I THINK POSITIVE"
"My start wasn't great, but I felt fine and I managed to move up to the second position, before settling for fifth. I will add some more endurance work in view of the next races" Tempier commented. Team Bianchi Countervail will come back to action at Trofeo Delcar - Internazionali d'Italia Series' round 3 in Montichiari (Northern Italy) on Sunday, April 2nd.
