Team Bianchi Countervail experienced an unlucky day at Oeztaler Forest Cross, Mountainbike Liga Austria's round 3 held in Haiming (Austria) on Sunday, April 23rd. In the Men Elite series, Stephane Tempier was the only team’s rider able to finish the race, in spite of a puncture on a sharp stone early in the race: slipped down in 30th position, the Frenchman rode then his Methanol 29.1 Full Suspension to fourteenth thanks to a solid comeback.
Marco Aurelio Fontana suffered a technical problem during the second lap and was therefore forced to leave the race. A physical issue stopped Chiara Teocchi in the penultimate lap instead.
"It wasn't our best day, both Marco and Chiara were unlucky. However, we accept the result and we look forward the next stage to bounce back", Team Manager Massimo Ghirotto commented. "It’s a shame, it was a good race but such issue forced me out of contention", Fontana added.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high-end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
