Team LottoNL-Jumbo's Primoz Roglic and Steven Kruijswijk finished the 2018 Tour de France in fourth and fifth position respectively, final outcomes of a whole Grand Boucle rode prominently by the World Tour team’s riders equipped by Bianchi. The Tour de France ended today, July 28th, with the traditional parade in Paris' Champs Elisées.
Roglic finished the Tour de France with a 3:22 gap from winner Geraint Thomas and 58 seconds behind the third-placed, Christopher Froome. Roglic left his mark in Laruns' Pyrenees queen stage, riding his special Oltre XR4 - customized with an eagle flying over the Col du Galibier, where he gave Slovenia the first success at the Grande Boucle - to another memorable solo win. A shining Steven Kruijswijk clinched the fifth position in the final classification by riding constantly in the first line, and grazing a historical triumph at the Alpe d'Huez, after an impressive long-shot solo action ended with only 3,5 km to go.
Before shining on the mountains, Team LottoNL-Jumbo also won two flat stages with Dylan Groenewegen, once again established asd one of World's fastest wheels in the sprints. Thanks to his feeling with Bianchi Oltre XR4 (customized with the Dutch Lion realized with an appealing metallic paint and the triple "X" on the top tube, the historical symbol of his birth city - Amsterdam), the former Dutch National champion topped Chartres and Amiens Métropole's stages and placed fourth in Sarzeay and sixth in Fontenay-le-Comte.
Gesink finished 31st in the GC, whilst the youngster Antwan Tolhoek placed 37th. Team LottoNL-Jumbo was fourth in the final Teams classification.
