The Dutchman rode Oltre XR4 to second in a photo-finish sprint behind Trentin in Torredonjimeno

Team Jumbo-Visma's Danny Van Poppel was runner-up in Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol stage 2, 216,5 km from Sevilla to Torredonjimeno (Spain) on Thursday, February 21st. After a photo finish sprint, the 25-year-old rider from Utrecht was preceded only by Italian Matteo Trentin, finishing ahead of Ivan Garcia. The Dutchman scored his second seasonal podium with Oltre XR4.
Previously, Van Poppel's teammate Steven Kruijswijk had placed fifth in the opening stage with finish in Alcalá de los Gazules.
