Primoz Roglic's dress reharsal for the Giro d'Italia started with a podium spot. Team Jumbo-Visma's Slovenian placed second in Tour de Romandie's prologue, 3,9 km with start and finish in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), on Tuesday, April 30th. Equipped with Aquila CV, Roglic clocked 5:07, only one second slower than fellow countryman Jan Tratnik. Swiss Tom Bohli rounded out the podium.
In the 2018 edition of the Swiss World Tour stage-race, Roglic had finished the prologue in the third position, before taking the lead in Delémont's stage 1 and holding until the last finish in Genève. This year, at "Romandie", the Slovenian is putting the finishing touch to his preparation in view of the Giro, where he will aim to the GC.
