Bianchi back to Tour de France with ambitious Team Jumbo-Visma
Bianchi is back to the Tour de France with strong and motivated Team Jumbo-Visma from July 6th to 28th. The Bianchi-sponsored World Tour team heads to the Grande Boucle with big sprint ambitions with Dylan Groenewegen, today one of the world’s fastest and most succesful pro cyclists. Steven Kruijswijk will be the team’s captain for the GC whilst Belgian TT national champion Wout Van Aert will be one of the most interesting riders to watch in the coming weeks.
Counting twelve victories in 2019, Groenewegen will try to repeat and improve the impressive performance of last year, when he secured two straight wins in Amiens Métropole and Chartres. Fifth in 2018 Tour de France GC, Steven Kruijswijk is the team’s shot for the overall classification, relying on his climbing skills and his ability to manage energies and pressure thoughout the toughest 3-week stage race in the world.
Groenewegen, Kruijswijk and Van Aert will be joined by Mike Teunissen, Norwegian national champion Amund Jansen, four time TT World Champion Tony Martin, New Zealander George Bennett and newcomer Laurens De Plus.
Team Jumbo-Visma’s Bianchi CV bikes
Bianchi powers Team Jumbo-Visma’s riders on the roads of the Tour de France with Oltre XR4 and Aquila CV.
Bianchi’s ultimate aero road racing machine Oltre XR4 has been developed with CFD software and tested in the wind tunnel to reduce the aerodynamic drag. The dedicated tuning process of the Bianchi CV System, using patented Countervail carbon material, maximizes aero advantage and control at high speeds, making it a crucial ally of Groenewegen’s fast sprints, but also for Kruijswijk’s attacks.
Aquila CV is the most successful time-trial machine in the WorldTour. A revolutionary TT bike, engineered with Bianchi CV system and designed to provide more energy and more control, delivering the ultimate aero performance.
