Bianchi begins the Pink journey at Giro d’Italia

On Saturday, October 3rd, Bianchi debuts as official sponsor of the 103rd edition of the Giro d’Italia. Team Jumbo-Visma will fight for the Maglia Rosa with team leader Steven Kruijswijk aboard his Oltre XR4

Saturday October 3rd marks the first time of Bianchi as official sponsor of the Giro d’Italia: the 103rd edition of the Corsa Rosa starts in Monreale (Sicily) and ends in Milan on Sunday October 25th. As official Bike of the Giro d’Italia, Bianchi will experience three weeks in the heart of the Pink Caravan.

The 2020 Giro d’Italia is a message of restart for the Italian cycling, as well as for the whole Country.  Thanks to the sharing of intentions and visions, Bianchi, alongside with RCS Sport, will promote and enhance the most popular and iconic Italian race in the world. A three-year project, born from the ambition to give even more international scope to two excellence symbols of the ‘Made in Italy’.

Throughout three weeks, Bianchi will be on the road with the Giro with its “Experience Center”: a dedicate motorhome to discover all of Bianchi’s technology and innovation, expertly explained by the staff. At each starting village of Giro 103, people will be able to visit the Bianchi Experience Center and get familiar with Bianchi’s top models, such as performance road model Oltre XR4 DiscAria e-road in the new iridescent colour and the innovative e-SUV.

Bianchi is also official supplier of the Giro-E, the e-bike dedicated event. A strategic collaboration strengthened by the Bianchi Lif-E project, launched by Bianchi to encourage electric mobility in cycling, with the new Bianchi Aria e-Road showing off on the road. Furthermore, Bianchi will supply its bicycles to the technical assistance service operated by Shimano.

GC AMBITIONS FOR KRUIJSWIJK WITH OLTRE XR4 AND AQUILA CV

Bianchi stands at the starting line of the Giro d’Italia with Team Jumbo-Visma, led by Steven Kruijswijk. After going very close to the overall win at the Giro d’Italia in 2016 and taking the third place at the 2019 Tour de France, the Dutchman has ambitions for the Milan podium.

Team Jumbo-Visma will be equipped with Oltre XR4, the winning bicycle of Strade Bianche and Milano-Sanremo, and Aquila CV for time trials. Jos Van Emden, Tony Martin, Koen Bouwman, Tobias Foss, Antwan Tolhoek, Chris Harper and Christoph Pfingsten complete the starting lineup.
