Bianchi ends its official presence in the off-road racing


Team Bianchi-Countervail to end operations at the end of 2019

F.I.V. E. Bianchi spa announces the decision to conclude its official presence in the off-road racing world (MTB and cyclo-ross), due to a new strategic direction involving the Bianchi Reparto Corse (Bianchi Racing division).

Dating from next December 31st, 2019, the official Bianchi MTB factory team – today named Team Bianchi Countervail – will formally cease all activities, concluding a long-time presence in the sport fulfilled with satisfactions, that significantly marked the Italian and international MTB world. A unique race palmares highlighted Bianchi MTB factory team’s story, with two Olympic titles (a gold medal at Athens 2004, another at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Games), 13 World Championships, 13 European Championships, 6 World Cups (4 XCO and 2 XCM overall titles) and 65 National Championships (45 Italian, 20 foreign).

Bianchi sincerely thanks the champions of the past, today’s athletes, management and staff and partners of Team Bianchi Countervail, for the valuable contribution to achieve significant results, sharing an exciting sporting history and more.
