Team LottoNL-Jumbo's Dutchman climbs up to GC second position thanks to a strong performance on the final uphill

Steven Kruijswijk displayed his best climbing skills and a good shape on the first Tour de Suisse's uphill finish, placing third in stage 4 - 143,2 km from Bern to Villars-sur-Ollon (Switzerland) - on Tuesday, June 13th. Last survivor of the early breakaway, Larry Warbasse claimed the victory ahead of Damiano Caruso (+40), who preceded Kruijswijk himself and Simon Spilak.
Equipped with Oltre XR4, Team LottoNL-Jumbo's Kruijswijk is also runner-up in the GC, with a 15-second gap from Caruso and a 9-second advantage on the duo made by Domenico Pozzovivo and Simon Spilak. The 30-year-old Dutchman from Nuenen moved 22 positions up in the standings.
