Team LottoNL-Jumbo continues its superb stretch at the Tour of Britain. Dylan Groenewegen confirmed himself among the best sprinters claiming an impressive win in stage 7 – 185,1 km from Hemel Hemstead  to Cheltenham – on Saturday, September 9th, as teammate Lars Boom managed to defend the leader’s jersey in a hard and rainy day.

There were plenty of attacks into the last 10 kilometers in order to put at risk Boom’s leadership, but the Team LottoNL-Jumbo riders succeed in catching every escapee. The final dash was a Groenewegen affair: the 24-year-old Dutchman made the best of his sprinting qualities, enhanced by the aero advantage of the award-winning Bianchi Oltre XR4, to anticipate Australian Caleb Ewan in a close finish. Breton Jones rounded out the podium.

Groenewegen – already two times on the 2017 Tour of Britain’s podium, on stage 2 and 6 – claimed his 20th Pro victory, the second for the Dutch team in this edition after Boom’s triumph on stage 5 time trial. Boom himself ended-up 16th to retain the first position in the general classification with a 8-second advantage on Stefan Küng and 9 seconds over teammate Victor Campenaerts. With only one stage remaining, the Team LottoNL-Jumbo Dutchman aims for the overall victory and repeating the success of 2011.

VUELTA A ESPANA : KRUIJSWIJK 7TH IN STAGE 20
In the same day, Steven Kruijswijk finished in 7th place on Vuelta a Espana penultimate stage (Corvera de Asturias-Alto de l’Angliru, 117,5 km). The Dutch climber, equipped with Bianchi Oltre XR4, tried to attack on the prohibitive slopes of the Angliru, one of the hardest climb in Europe, crossing the finish line 51 seconds down on winner Alberto Contador. In the GC, Kruijswijk moved up to ninth place, with a gap of 11:04 from leader Chris Froome.

BIANCHI OLTRE XR4
Groenewegen’s victory represents just another remarkable success for Oltre XR4, Bianchi’s ultimate aero road racing machine, engineered with the revolutionary Countervail® Vibration Cancelling Technology and designed to maximize aereo advantage and control. Bianchi equips the Team LottoNL-Jumbo with three more high-performance models, engineered with Countervail® technology: Specialissima, the ultralight frame, perfect for GC riders, it’s extra stiff for increased traction and stability at high speeds, and maximum control on the descents; Aquila CV, the ultimate time trial machine, designed to increase power output and rider's energy, with maximum control with each pedal stroke; Infinito CV, the ideal bike for the Classics, providing remarkable control on uneven surfaces and reducing muscular fatigue.
