Timo Roosen claimed a commanding victory in the maiden edition of the Tacx Pro Classic – a 200 km one-day race in the Netherlands, from Middelburg to Neeltje Jans – on Saturday, October 14th, whilst his teammate Dylan Groenewegen rounded out the podium in third. Team LottoNL-Jumbo filled in the favorites' role and didn’t disappoint their fans on its home soil.
The race was decided into the last 10 kilometres, when the Team LottoNL-Jumbo Dutchman went clear with two more riders. Right in the last meters, as the peloton was getting closer, Roosen attacked outdistancing Van Der Hoorn (second) and holding on till the finish line, thanks to his great legs and to the aerodynamic advantage provided by his Oltre XR4, Bianchi’s ultimate aero road race machine. Behind him, Groenewegen won the bunch sprint finishing in third.
For Roosen it’s the second victory of the season. Thanks to this success, the Dutch team sponsored by Bianchi scored the 25th win of the year.
