Nadir Colledani was Team Bianchi Countervail’s poster rider in Internazionali d’Italia Series’ final round. The Italian biker rode Methanol CV to secondo at Alpago MTB Trophy in Lamosano di Chies d’Alpago (Italy) on Saturday, June 30th. Colledani completed the race in 1.35:15, with a 1:14 gap from Gerhard Keschbaumer and over a minute ahead of Henrique Avancini. After attacking in the early race, Stephane Tempier finished seventh. Marco Aurelio Fontana crashed in the final lap while he was pursuing the fifth position: tomorrow the Prorider will undergo further medical investigationa. Chiara Teocchi was a long third in the Women’s Open race behind Yana Belomoina and Evie Richards, before closing fourth with a 3:07 gap from the Ukrainian.
Colledani placed fifth in Internazionali d’Italia Series Men Open’s GC with 86 point (entering 3 out of 4 events), Tempier seventh with 69 points in two races. Teocchi was fifth as well in the Women Open’s GC with 84 points achieved in Nalles, Pineto and Lamosano di Chies d’Alpago’s rounds.
A solid performance earned Colledani a deserved applause on the finish line: “In the early race I was able to ride fast and to be part of the four-man leading group. Stephane speeded the pace in the second lap, but I was able to recover and to manage my energies in view of the final one. When Kerschbaumer and I remained in the lead, he attacked in the penultimate lap and I chose to keep my pace, while securing the second position, until the finish line. I’m happy with this result, now I’m going directly to Val di Sole to live another important event” the Italian commented.
“I’m pretty satisfied, even if in the final lap it was too hot for me. Anyway, I think it was a positive start of an important racing month: I hope to take good results also in next World Cup’s rounds” Chiara Teocchi added.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension).
