After stealing the show in 2016 edition – five days in pink jersey and four podium spots for Steven Kruijswijk, besides Primoz Roglic’ stage win in Chianti ITT – the Dutch team aims high again in the Giro 100, with Bianchi supporting Kruijswijk’s ambitions with the top-of-the-range bikes engineered with Countervail technology.
THE TEAM’S BIKES
Team LottoNL-Jumbo's riders are equipped with four models engineered with Countervail® viscoelastic carbon material:
Oltre XR4, designed to maximize the aerodynamic advantage and control
Specialissima, the ultralight frame, perfect for GC riders, it’s extra stiff for increased traction and stability at high speeds, and maximum control on the descents
Infinito CV, the ideal bike for the Classics, to provide remarkable control on uneven surfaces and reduces muscular fatigue.
Aquila CV, the ultimate time trial machine, designed to increase power output and rider's energy, with maximum control with each pedal stroke

KRUIJSWIJK: “I WANT TO FINISH AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE”
Steven Kruijswijk, five-day leader and GC fourth in 2016 Giro d'Italia: “Last year, I crashed two days before the end of the race. I lost the highest achievable: the pink jersey. Nevertheless, I know what I’m capable to after that Giro and I want to compete again for a good result. We continued working hard to get the most out of it. It was great to wear the pink jersey last year. Now, I wish to finish on the final podium as high as possible hopefully”.
