Marco Aurelio Fontana and Chiara Teocchi scored Team Bianchi Countervail’s best results in XCO World Cup round 3 in Nove Mesto na Morave (Czech Republic) from Friday to Sunday, May 25th-27th. The Prorider was sixth in the Short Track Men's Elite race and 16th in the XCO; the Women's Under 23 Italian champion placed twelfth in the XCO race. Stephane Tempier and Nadir Colledani's performances were influenced by the bad luck: the Frenchman was forced to withdrawal in the early XCO race, whilst Colledani suffered physical problems throughout the whole race, finishing 57th.

The Czech World Cup round was marked by a promising start for the team managed by Massimo Ghirotto. Marco Aurelio Fontana had ridden Methanol 29.1 FS to another great performance in the Short Track, placing sixth. Tempier had finished 26th, Colledani 30th. Fontana tried then to give an encore in the XCO Men Elite race on May 27th, before moving back to 16th position. Stephane Tempier had a good start too, taking the race lead, but the Frenchman was forced to leave the race after a puncture to the rear wheel, at the start of the first climb. Tempier is actually 13th in the Cross-Country Olympic's GC with 322 points, four more than Fontana (14th, 318); Colledani went up to 59 points. Team Bianchi Countervail is actually fifth in the Teams Classification with 164.

Meanwhile Chiara Teocchi was twelfth in the XCO Women's Under 23 race on Saturday, May 26th. The Italian athlete rode her Methanol CV a long in the Top 10 before slipping down and finishing her race 4 minutes and 30 seconds behind the winner Sina Frei and the runner-up Malene Degn. Teocchi came to fifth position in the GC with 98 points.

Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension).
