The aim is to further improve the results scored in Val di Sole. The occasion is UCI Mountain Bike World Cup round 5, expecting the Team Bianchi Countervail riders from Friday July 13th to Sunday 15th. Team Manager Massimo Ghirotto will line-up the whole four-rider roster, from Under 23 Chiara Teocchi, looking for redemption after the crash in Val di Sole, to the élites Nadir Colledani, Marco Aurelio Fontana and Stephane Tempier.
Seventh placed in Val di Sole, Tempier has big ambitions in Vallnord where he was third in 2013: "I like Vallnord's race. We'll tackle a higher ground course with exciting stretches like the technical descent. My shape is getting better and I think I can deliver another good performance next Sunday". Same feelings for Colledani: "I'm actually fine, I like demanding races on higher grounds like Andorra's one. I hope to reap the benefits of the work I did: I'm really motivated. For this one, I will go for Methanol 29.1 FS."
Marco Aurelio Fontana is also fired up. The Prorider is on the up-and-up after Alpago's hit. "My body is getting better and thanks to Team Bianchi Countervail's staff I could race in Val di Sole, taking some points. I'm sure we'll deliver better results in the upcoming week-end, starting from the short track race I can't wait to take in" Fontana says. The Short Track Race is scheduled on Friday July 13th at 6.30 pm, the XCO Men's Elite race on Sunday at 2.50 pm.
Stronger than the crash in Val di Sole, Chiara Teocchi will compete in Vallnord too. "I feel better, I want to try to compete and I'll do it on Sunday. In spite of minimum pains, my training in the last two days were pretty good" Teocchi explains. The Women's U23 race will start at 8.30 am on July 15th.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension).
