Danny Van Poppel soloed to score his third seasonal win at Binche - Chimay - Binche / Memorial Frank Vandenbroucke in Binche (Belgium) on Tuesday, October 2nd. Equipped with Oltre XR4, Team LottoNL-Jumbo's rider unleashed the decisive kick on the cobblestones with 800 meters to go, when the fastest wheels were getting ready for the mass sprint, after ending Zdeněk Štybar's escape. Van Poppel happily crossed the finish line in 4:45:23, preceding Yves Lampaert e Oliver Naesen, second and third respectively with a three-second gap.
Born in Moergestel 25 years ago, fourteen times on the podium in the current season, Van Poppel had already celebrated the success in 2018 in Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana's opener and at Halle Ingooigem.
