Team Jumbo-Visma's Slovenian was second in Jebel Hafeet, in the wake of World champion Valverde

Primoz Roglic (Team Jumbo-Visma) retained UAE Tour leader's jersey by placing second in stage 3, 179 km from UAE University to Jebel Hafeet on Tuesday, February 26th. The 29-year-old Slovenian rode Oltre XR4 to complete his effort in 4:44:50, in the wake of the stage winner, World champion Alejandro Valverde, and preceding French David Gaudu.
2019 UAE Tour leader since the opening stage, a TTT dominated by his Team Jumbo-Visma, Roglic currently holds a 14-second advantage on Valverde and 39 seconds on Gaudu in the GC. Team Jumbo-Visma's Laurens De Plus is third in the Youth Classification.
