Team Jumbo-Visma's Slovenian outsprinted Dumoulin and Gaudu on Jebel Jais top on March 1st

Team Jumbo-Visma's Primoz Roglic delivered an outstanding show of force in UAE Tour stage-6, 180 km from Ajman to Jebel Jais top on Friday, March 1st. Brilliantly led by teammate Laurens De Plus, the Slovenian GC leader rode Oltre XR4 to masterfully outsprint Tom Dumoulin - passed in the final meters - and young Frenchman David Gaudu, winning in 4:15:39.
With one stage to go, Roglic strengthened his GC lead: the closest rival, Alejandro Valverde, is now 31 seconds behind him, whilst Gaudu is third with a 44-second gap. Laurens De Plus is ninth overall (+1:45) and third in the Youth Classification. The UAE Tour will be completed with the stage-7, 145 km from Dubai Safari Park to City Walk, dedicated to the fastest wheels of the bunch.
