Nadir Colledani soloed to win the Grici XCO, cross country race held in Vrtojba (Slovenia) on Sunday, March 24th. Team Bianchi Countervail's élite rider came on top of the race with Methanol CV RS, with a 28-second advantage on Luca Braidot and 55" on Nicholas Pettinà. No luck for Stephane Tempier, who crashed immediately after the start and forced to withdrawal: he got off with abrasions, immediately medicated.
"I had been feeling good since a couple of weeks, after overcoming the problems that affected me in Andora: now I'm riding much better. About the race: after a wait-and-see start, I forced the pace bringing with me Braidot and Kerschbaumer. The latter attacked but I was able to fight back and take the solo lead, before managing the advantage on my rivals in the last two laps. I won three times here, but this is the most significant success. Too bad about Tempier, I was him crashing at the start: luckily the consequence was not so severe" Colledani commented.
Colledani and Tempier's teammate Chiara Teocchi also took in Grici XCO, finishing sixth in the Women's Open race topped by Ukrainian Yana Belomoina.
