Team MTB fields complete lineup for MTB World Cup final round

Tempier, Fontana, Colledani and Teocchi will take part in Mountain Bike World Cup’s seventh and last round, in La Bresse (France) from August 24 to 26

The final seasonal World Cup round is expecting Team Bianchi Countervail, whose complete line-up will be in La Bresse (France) from Friday August 24th to Sunday August 26th.

The French World Cup stage represents an good opportunity for a local like Stephane Tempier to bounce back after a couple of unlucky outings: the 32-year-old will try to seize the home field advantage to claim a prestigious result, both in the Short Track of Friday August 24th (start at 6:15 pm CET) and in the Cross Country of Sunday August 26th (2.50 pm).

Two more Team Bianchi Countervail athletes, Italy’s Marco Aurelio Fontana and Nadir Colledani, will face the Elite races, under the guidance of the Team Manager Massimo Ghirotto.

Seventh in the Under 23 Women’s race in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Chiara Teocchi will try to move into the overall top-5 after the French race (Sunday at 8.30 am): the Italian youngster occupies the seventh place with 148 points, within striking distance of the fifth place occupied by Swiss Nicole Koller (159).

“The riders feel good, their condition is fine, our goal will be to improve the results achieved in Mont-Sainte Anne”, said Ghirotto. - “Stephane will ride in his home Country, and this is obviously a big race for him, but I also expect to see good displays by Marco, Nadir and Chiara. Teocchi also has the opportunity to secure an important overall placement, so let’s hope for a good race."
