Kuss soloes to win Vuelta a España stage 15
Bianchi and Team Jumbo-Visma experienced another perfect day at Vuelta a España. US’ Sep Kuss rode Oltre XR4 to an outstanding solo win in stage 15, 154,4 km from Tineo to Santuario del Acebo (Spain) on Sunday, September 8th. The climber from Durango, turning 25 next Friday, wrapped a self birthday gift with five days in advance, outdistancing Ruben Guerrero (+0:39) and Tao Geoghegan Hart (+0:40) and celebrating his first individual win in 2019.
Team’s captain Slovenian Primoz Roglic delivered another brilliant performance, placing eighth with a 2:14 gap just ahead of Alejandro Valverde and strengthened his GC lead with a 2:25 advantage on Valverde himself and 3:42 on fellow countryman Tadej Pogacar. Winner of Pau ITT with Aquila CV, Roglic keeps also leading Points Classification.
TEUNISSEN 3rd IN TOUR OF BRITAIN STAGE 2
On the same day, Mike Teunissen (Team Jumbo-Visma) finished third in OVO Energy Tour of Britain stage 2, 165,9 km with start and finish in Kelso (UK). The Dutchman sprinted for the success with Oltre XR4, getting to the finish line in the wake of Matteo Trentin and Jasper De Buyst. Teunissen is actually fourth in the GC.
