Danny Van Poppel (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) was silver medallist at Road Dutch National Championships, 221,6 km one-day race from Nispen to Hoogerheide (Netherlands) on Sunday, July 1st. The 24-year-old rider from Utrecht sprinted for success with his Oltre XR4 finishing the race in 5:21:42, behind Mathieu Van der Poel and ahead of Ramon Sinkeldam. Team LottoNL-Jumbo's Timo Roosen grazed the podium placing fourth, Jos van Emden was 17th.
Van Poppel collected ten podium displays in 2018, including the wins in Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana's opener and Halle Ingooigem.
