Oltre XR4 claims first summit finish at Tour de France

Primoz Roglic won the first summit finish riding his special black Oltre XR4, characterized by Bianchi’s unique painting system to save up to 80 gr of weight

Bianchi Oltre XR4 confirmed to be the top-performing bike in cycling so far in 2020, ridden by the fastest man when the road rises, Primoz Roglic. The Slovenian Champion claimed the victory in the first summit stage of the 2020 Tour de France, 160,5 km from Sisteron to Orcières-Merlette (France), on Tuesday September 1st, 2020. After Team Jumbo-Visma’ solid work on the final climb, Roglic took his first stage at the 2020 Grande Boucle in the final sprint ahead of Tadej Pogacar and Guillaume Martin.

Thanks to this victory, Primoz Roglic strengthened his position as favorite for the yellow jersey; with the ten bonus seconds for the win, the Slovenian moved to third overall, seven seconds adrift GC leader Julian AlaphilippeTom Dumoulin also showed a good shape, finishing in the first group with all the Grand Boucle contenders. Bianchi and Team Jumbo-Visma clinched the eleventh victory in the last month, enriched by the Wout Van Aert wins at Strade Bianche and Milano-Sanremo.

Whatever the terrain, Oltre XR4 is ready to outperform: Primoz Roglic’s winning bike is characterized by the unique paint system developed by Bianchi, that significantly reduces the molecular weight of the coating used for Team Jumbo-Visma’s Oltre XR4 delivered in black color with the iconic celeste Bianchi logos.

Thanks to Bianchi’s special paint system, Primoz Roglic, Tom Dumoulin and other Team Jumbo-Visma riders save up to 80gr on the total weight of the bike, improving the power to weight ratio when climbing.
