Bianchi Blade Helmet by Lazer

LAZER SPORT NV (“LAZER”) has identified that in some cases certain BLADE bicycle helmets, which have been sold since January 2015, do not pass the roll-off test under the CE standards.

Dear cyclist,
a check recently carried out by LAZER SPORT NV (“LAZER”), indicated that in rare circumstances the strap anchorage may detach from the helmet during impact. It concerns all sizes of the CE helmets affected.
To date, LAZER is not aware of any reports of incidents and considers the safety risk to be very low. However, as some products do not meet CE standards, LAZER has decided voluntarily to undertake a recall of the helmets affected in countries where the roll-off test is a mandatory requirement. To find out whether the standard applies to your country, please visit our the website www.lazersport.com for further details or contact your local Bianchi dealer.
Only the following models and sizes of LAZER helmets are affected: C9301219, C9301220, C9301221
No other Bianchi by LAZER helmets are affected.
A white sticker with model name, identification code and size can be found inside your helmet.
If you are in possession of an affected helmet please contact the retailer you bought it from as soon as possible to arrange replacement of the helmet, free of charge. The replacement helmets, marketed under the name BLADE+ have a new strap anchorage designed to meet the required standards. They are CE certified and can be identified by codes ending
with “081”.We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please visit the LAZER website, www.lazersport.com, for contact details and further information.
