Jansen sprints to second in Druivenkoers-Overijse

The 23-year-old Team LottoNL-Jumbo Norwegian grazed his maiden pro victory on Wednesday, August 23rd

Amund Grondahl Jansen was in the spotlight at the Druivenkoers-Overijse, a 196,4 km ride around the Belgian town of Overijse, on Wednesday, August 23rd. The 23-year-old Team LottoNL-Jumbo Norwegian sprinted to second on his Oltre XR4, Bianchi’s ultimate aero road race machine, behind Belgian Jerome Baugnies, winner for the third consecutive year. Belgian Xandro Meurisse rounded out the podium.
The Norwegian talent, 2016 U23 National Champion, grazed his maiden pro victory in a Team LottoNL-Jumbo jersey, while earning the first podium spot of his season. In the same race, his teammate Victor Campenaerts ended up ninth.
