Groenewegen sprints to third in Tour de France's stage 10

Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s 24-year-old in the mix in the final dash to Bergerac’s finish line

Team LottoNL-Jumbo and Bianchi stepped on the podium in Tour de France stage 10 (Périguex - Bergerac, 178 Km), on Tuesday July 11th. Equipped with Oltre XR4, the 24-year-old Dutchman launched himself in a hectic sprint, finishing third on the finish line behind Germany’s Marcel Kittel and John Degenkolb.
In the stage following the rest day, Groenewegen gave Bianchi Oltre XR4 and Team LottoNL-Jumbo another podium spot, after the second place grabbed by Robert Gesink in stage 8, in Station des Rousses, on Saturday July 8th.
The 2016 Dutch National Champion occupies the eighth place in the points classification with 64 points, whilst another Team LottoNL-Jumbo rider, George Bennett is currently overall tenth 3:53 behind leader Christopher Froome. Slovenian Primoz Roglic occupies the second place in the KOM Classification with 30 points in view of the Pyrenean stages.
