Stephane Tempier finished 3rd in Coupe de France VTT opener in Marseille on Sunday, March 25th. Equipped wth Methanol 29.1 FS, Team Bianchi Countervail's Frenchman clocked 1.27:06, 51 seconds slower than Maxime Marotte. Another French rider, Titouan Carod, rounded out the podium, seven seconds behind Marotte.
“Marotte and Carod delivered a fast start, achieving a 10-second advantage in the opening lap. The course was really fast and it wasn’t easy both to make the difference and to bridge the gap. Anyway I’m happy because my pace was good and I managed to hold the third position, taking points and finding a good feedback about my shape in view of the incoming races” Tempier commented.
Marco Aurelio Fontana performed well too in the Men’s Elite race, finishing eighth in 1.30:24, whilst Nadir Colledani’s race was affected by a puncture (33th position). Also Chiara Teocchi was not so lucky in  Women’s U23 race: the 21-year-old Italian was 16th, due first to a crash and then a puncture.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
