Team Bianchi Countervail's Nadir Colledani grazed victory at 18th Gimondibike, 40,5 km race held in Iseo on Sunday, September 30th.The Italian rode his Methanol CV to second thanks to a good performance and with a remarkable finale. Colledani completed his effort in 1:47:45, with a 17-second gap from Alexey Medvedev and a 5-second advantage on Peeter Pruus. Winner of the 2016 and 2017 editions, Stephane Tempier was fifth, 41 seconds behind the winner. Marco Aurelio Fontana finished 19th, whilst Chiara Teocchi had to withdraw from the Women's race due to a physical issue.
"It was a good day for us, I'm happy with my display. I'm glad we ended our season with a good result, even though I didn’t win. We did what we had planned: Tempier and I managed to join the five-man leading group and to play our cards on the final climb. I was third on the top of the hill, but then I've been able to achieve the second position and to finish the race not far from the winner" Nadir Colledani commented.
