Expert Robert Gesink, youngsters Antwan Tolhoek (fourth last year) and Koen Bouwman will be looking to earn the spotlights at the Japan Cup, the traditional 144 km late-season race event with start and finish in Utsunomiya (Japan) on Sunday, October 21st. Bianchi returns to Japan - one of the most relevant international markets for the Italian bicycle company - with its sponsored WorldTour team, ready to connect with local fans and enthusiasts.
On the occasion of the Japan Cup, Bianchi prepared in its lab based in Treviglio, Italy, a special edition of the Oltre XR4 with handpainted custom graphics dedicated to Japan: taking it into the race in Utsunomiya will be Koen Bouwman.
The special Japan-dedicated bike will be just one of many Bianchi’s initiatives in an intense Japanese weekend: Bianchi has set up an Expo area in the Start/Finish area, a temporary store and an exclusive party Monday evening in the heart of Tokyo.
