Van Poppel runner-up in Tour de Pologne stage 3


The Dutchman was second behind Ackermann in Zabrze

Team Jumbo-Visma’s Danny Van Poppel placed 2nd in Tour de Pologne stage 3, 150,5 km with start in Chorzów and finish in Zabrze (Poland) on Monday, August 5th. In the mass sprint the 26-year-old rider from Utrecht finished in the wake of GC leader Pascal Ackermann, closing ahead of Mads Pedersen. The race was marred by the tragic crash of the Belgian Bjorg Lambrecht, who died in spite of the immediate medical care and hospitalization.
