Yates and Specialissima break the ice in the Alps


Simon Yates chose the Alps for the first victory with the new SpecialissimaThe Team BikeExchange Brit took an impressive solo win in the second stage of the Tour of the Alps, 121,5 km from Innsbruck to Feichten im Kaunertal on Tuesday April 20th, 2021. 

 

Taking advantage to the ultralight Specialissima frame, Simon Yates attacked on the second time up the Piller Sattel ascent, breaking the rivals’ resistance thanks five attempts in the space of few kilometres. In the following technical and fast descent, the Brits climber extended his gap aboard his Specialissima. Simon Yates’ victory at the Tour of the Alps is the perfect manifesto of the qualities of this all-rounder machine, designed for WorldTour professional as a complete racing bike.
