BIANCHI AND TEAM BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS CELEBRATE A HISTORIC GIRO D’ITALIA WITH THE WHITE JERSEY AND NINE DAYS IN THE PINK JERSEY
Afonso Eulálio finished sixth in the overall standings with the white jersey in Rome, while Alec Segaert took a spectacular victory in the twelfth stage with Oltre RC.

Treviglio (Italy), Tuesday, June 2: Bianchi and Team Bahrain Victorious celebrated an unforgettable 109th edition of the Giro d’Italia, capping three intense weeks of racing with the prestigious white jersey (best young rider) on the final podium in Rome.
Riding the high-performance Bianchi Oltre RC (Reparto Corse), 24-year-old Portuguese phenomenon Afonso Eulálio captured the cycling world’s attention after taking the overall lead on stage five. Eulálio heroically defended the iconic Maglia Rosa for nine consecutive days through the treacherous mountain stages, ultimately securing an incredible sixth-place finish in the final overall standings and earning the Maglia Bianca.
Team Bahrain’s excellent Giro was also marked by the performances of Belgian champion Alec Segaert, who took a spectacular solo victory in the twelfth stage finishing in Novi Ligure, launching a true finisher attack exactly three kilometers from the finish.

The team’s performance at the Giro was further cemented by Italian veteran Damiano Caruso, who took ninth place in the overall standings in his final career appearance at his home race, thus bringing two of the team’s riders into the final top ten.
To celebrate his victory in the young rider classification, Bianchi created a special white-liveried edition of the Oltre RC, prepared by the Officina Edoardo Bianchi customization program. Eulálio proudly rode his customized Oltre through the historic streets of Rome during the final stage, perfectly in keeping with his Maglia Bianca.

Bianchi CEO Alberto Cavaggioni said: “It’s incredibly emotional to see Bianchi on the final podium of the Giro d’Italia. Afonso’s incredible tenacity during his nine days in the Maglia Rosa, combined with Alec’s brilliant stage victory, perfectly reflects the competitive spirit of our ‘Reparto Corse’. Winning the Maglia Bianca and placing two riders in the final top ten confirms the competitive spirit of our partnership with Team Bahrain Victorious.”
Team Bahrain Victorious rider Afonso Eulálio said: “This Giro is an experience I’ll never forget. After such a tough final week, I wasn’t feeling my best and wasn’t always sure I could make it. However, the whole team believed in me, even when I had doubts, and this gave me all the strength to keep fighting until the end.”
“Finishing this Giro with the Maglia Bianca, after wearing the Maglia Rosa for so many days, and with Damiano and I both in the top ten of the general classification, is something truly special. We’ve suffered a lot over these three weeks, but we arrived in Rome with a great result for the team.”

The Maglia Bianca, a stunning stage win, and two top-ten finishes in the overall standings mark a milestone for the historic Italian brand and its partnership with Team Bahrain Victorious. After three weeks of challenging racing, these results lay a solid foundation for the future, demonstrating that Team Bahrain Victorious and Bianchi are consistently competitive at the highest level of Grand Tours.
