Bianchi becomes title sponsor of the world’s best triathlon team
A new chapter in celeste for the most successful outfit in modern triathlon.

Treviglio (Italy), Thursday 5th February: Iconic Italian cycling brand Bianchi has joined forces with the world’s most successful triathlon team to launch the newly named Bianchi Pro Triathlon Team.
Since progressing to the very top tier of the sport in 2014, the team has enjoyed an extraordinary period of dominance, amassing more than 150 victories and over 300 podium finishes worldwide, including the 2022 Ironman World Champion, 2021 and 2025 World Champion Long Distance Triathlon and the Olympic bronze medal in Paris 2024.
With Bianchi now onboard, the team is entering a new and equally ambitious era, as a legacy of sporting excellence meets timeless Italian craftsmanship. The team will compete on Bianchi’s cutting-edge Aquila RC time trial bike which has been optimised for triathlon, providing its athletes with one of the most advanced and aerodynamically refined race setups.

In Italian, Aquila means ‘eagle’, chosen because it combines extreme speed with elegance. It was designed by Bianchi’s Reparto Corse engineers to be the fastest time trial bike in the world, achieving a perfect synergy between rider and bike.
The Aquila RC took 20 months to develop in close collaboration with the world’s best riders – resulting in an aggressive, upright seat tube angle of 77.5° and increased reach, whilst still incorporating the same top tube length as its previous generation. The frame and forks weigh just 1.7kg combined, and are able to comfortably accommodate 28mm tyres. The handlebar, seatpost and bottom bracket are also fine-tuned to minimise drag in strategic areas.
Compared to its predecessor, the Aquila RC saves 16.1 watts at 50 kilometres per hour, making it 37 seconds faster over a 40.7km distance.
The Aquila RC the team will use also has also been optimised for the unique demands of elite triathlon, with frame size-specific toolboxes perfectly integrated to the seat tube – delivering a 6 watt improvement at 50km/h – and adaptable mounting points for each riders’ chosen hydration systems.

Bianchi CEO Alberto Cavaggioni said: “It’s a landmark moment for Bianchi to be partnering with such an iconic and successful team. As a global brand, we were looking to work with multinational riders, competing across every continent in the world’s most important races, and we couldn’t be more excited to have joined forces with such a proven and respected outfit.”
Bianchi Chief Product Officer Emanuele Liatti said: “While we’re incredibly proud of our current Aquila RC bike, we see this as the start of a long and important collaboration that will see our Reparto Corse working closely with the team’s athletes and performance staff to continue developing ultra high-performance time trial and triathlon bikes of the future.”
Bianchi Pro Triathlon Team General Manager Bob De Wolf said: “After 12 magnificent seasons, we are ready to take the next step in our journey. This partnership represents far more than simply a sponsorship. Bianchi brings unrivalled expertise, in-house innovation and a relentless pursuit of performance. With access to their new Bianchi Aquila RC, we firmly believe our athletes will be riding one of the fastest bikes on the planet. The aerodynamic and performance gains this collaboration delivers will allow our athletes to perform stronger and race faster.
“As one of the world’s most premium bicycle manufacturers, Bianchi perfectly aligns with our ambition and we cannot wait to see this partnership come to life on the world’s biggest stages.”
