Van Aert 3rd in Critérium du Dauphiné opener

Wout Van Aert (Team Jumbo-Visma) placed third in Critérium du Dauphiné opener, 142 km from Aurillac to Jussac (France) on Sunday, June 9th. The Belgian rode Oltre XR4 to sprint for the success, crossing the finish line behind Edvald Boasson Hagen and Philippe Gilbert.

Van Aert tops the Youth classification after the opening stage with a 4-second advantage on Nils Politt and Gregor Muhlberger.

Team Jumbo-Visma runner up at hammer series Limburg

On the same day, a Team Jumbo Visma’s quintet including Paul Martens, Taco Van der Hoorn, Koen Bouwman, Jos van Emden and Tom Leezer finished sixth in the Hammer Chase in Sittard-Geleen (Netherlands), closing the Hammer Limburg in second position behind Deceuninck-Quick Step.
