Groenewegen aims for sprint victories at UAE Tour
After bagging the first couple of sprints at Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, Dylan Groenewegen is ready for the UAE Tour, to be held from February 23rd to 29th, 2020. The Team Jumbo-Visma sprinter takes part in the United Arab Emirates stage race for the first time, leading a line-up eager to stand out. The Dutch rider will be supported by Timo Roosen in the sprint stages, while Laurens De Plus nurtures GC ambitions.
KUSS SEALS TOP TEN AT TOUR DE LA PROVENCE
Sepp Kuss finished eighth overall at Tour de La Provence, 2:26 behind Nairo Quintana. The Team Jumbo-Visma rider climbed to sixth place during the queen stage of the race on Mont Ventoux, held on Saturday February 15th, 2020. After trying to counter Quintana’s attack, Kuss rode strongly over the climb with his Oltre XR4 and crossed the finish line in a selected group with Pinot and Kelderman. In the final stage of the Tour de la Provence, Pascal Eenkhoorn managed to sprint strongly to seventh place.
BENNETT FINISHES SECOND IN NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
George Bennett finished second in the New Zealand National Championships road race, which took place on Saturday February 15th, 2020. After attacking in the tough hilly first section of the 174 km course, the Team Jumbo-Visma rider crossed the finish line behind Shane Archbold.
