Groenewegen runner-up in Tour de France stage 11

Team Jumbo-Visma Dutchman finished behind Ewan and ahead of Viviani in the mass sprint in Toulouse

Bianchi and Team Jumbo-Visma added another brilliant display to their outstanding Tour de France palmares. Stage-winner at 2019 Grande Boucle, Dylan Groenewegen went close to the encore in the stage 11, 167 km from Albi to Toulouse (France) on Wednesday, July 17th. After a battled sprint decided by the photo-finish, Australian Caleb Ewan preceded the Dutch sprinter by a nose , whilst Italian Elia Viviani rounded-out the podium.

Groenewegen also climbed the Points Classification, going up to eighth position with 96 points, ahead of teammates Mike Teunissen (winner of the opener in Bruxelles and Tour’s leader for two days) and Wout Van Aert (winner of stage 10 in Albi, runner-up in stage 5). Jumbo-Visma’s triumph with Aquila CV in the TTT completes the team’s winning streak so far.
